I knew this year I wanted a special piece of jewelry that I could wear at all times to show my support during Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month other than the typical purple rubber bracelet. Once I realized exactly what I wanted, I had no doubt that I wanted to call on my long time friend Ayca to create a custom piece for me. I have admired her work for years, so I knew that my bracelet was in great hands. Even though we live on opposite sides of the country these days, I felt like I was being included in every step of the creation process; from the initial design, to the material selections thanks to constant communication via email and chat. The photos she posted of the bracelet upon completion were stunning, but it looks even more beautiful in person. Every time I wear it I get compliments from friends, family and coworkers asking me where I bought it. Ayca has known about my personal battle with CF for years, and it means a lot that she got to be a part of this special project.
