Inspired by the recent PLY magazine highlighting these lesser know breeds, a pack of 6, 15g / 0.5oz each enough to spin a sample and compare the different breeds

The six are Southdown, Shropshire, Oxford, Suffolk Hampshire and the hard to find Dorset down.

I have spun some of all of these and they are surprisingly easy to perpare and spin, with a lovely loft to the yarn. They also take dyes well. A much under-rated section of fibre

Fleeces chosen by experienced spinner here in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Some of these are rare breeds are on the RBST watchlist
