My family and I spend several months a year at our remote trapline - living alone amongst the wilderness - adventuring and harvesting the incredible wild fur my garments are made of. I love feeling small amongst the vast landscapes and exploring them on my snowshoes, no pre-set trail, tuned into everything around me.
There is no waste in nature, and my creative process reflects that. After cutting out main patterns from hide, I then sew unique patterns of material from which I can cut one more design from. These have become my signature pieces.
My pieces are inspired and designed with the great outdoors in mind. Each piece has a special story for me, because I have seen it through from harvest to design and then hand sewn them together. These garments will last decades, when maintained properly. They are strong, durable wearable pieces of art that will keep people warm in the most extreme of winter temperatures, so that they too can go out and enjoy the adventures winter has to offer as I love to do so much.
