Welcome to my studio!
Once an old garage, I had it rebuilt and now fondly refer to it as my "garudio".

New mugs getting ready for the bisque fire.

My passion is creating functional handmade pottery inspired from the nature around me...

It all began about 20 years ago when the college in my hometown built a pottery studio in my back yard. Curious, I went over to investigate, got my hands in the clay...and have never looked back!

I have pottery studios in both my winter and summer homes (as well as beautiful gardens just outside the studio windows). In addition to the pieces offered here, you can find my pottery at the following galleries:

Long River Gallery - White River Junction, Vermont

All of my work starts from a lump of clay. I throw or hand-build, glaze and fire every piece I create. The two major pieces of equipment I use are my electric kiln and my wheel. My preferred clay is earthenware, and, for the most part, I make my own glazes. I am truly committed to functional pottery and all my glazes are lead free and food safe.
