4 out of 5 starsI don't like items I have to "hammer" together. I cut it as downloaded out of 1/8" birch. Next one I'll sand the fitting parts before assembly.

Thank you for your feedback, Usually I get feedback the other way around on this topic as I took a poll on preferred design fit and a majority of customers stated they would prefer a kerf adjusted tight fit to tap together without glue. This also allows the stand to be more stable as well. If for some reason your slots came out to small or tight it could be a few other things that could be the cause. 1. If you are using the SVG files, those can and will scale based on your programs settings on import, to prevent this please try using the PDF files as recommended in the How to use files section as this will lock in the settings across programs. 2. Different exact material thicknesses could cause fits to be more or less tight. 3. The kerf of your laser might be different and adjustments might be needed.

5 out of 5 starsgreat file. Only issue I had putting it together is that the name plate that slides inside was so snug that it was very difficult to put in or pull out. I ended up altering that part myself and made it work.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to resize the design?
Yes and No.
Yes= Depending on the material you use you may have to resize slots, tabs, or joints if you are using a larger or smaller thickness material then what is stated on designs that have slots, tabs, or joints.
No= If you are using the same sized material thickness or if it is a design that is flat and states in the description that any size material will work.
What machine can I cut this file on?
I used a Glowforge laser cutter to cut and make each design. You will be able to cut these on other laser engravers/cutters as well but you may need to change the line thickness and will want to make sure your laser engraver can grey scale.
What happens if I see the file cut the cut line twice?
This means you will have to change the line thickness to match your corresponding laser cutter you are using. Some lasers use a line thickness of 0.001, some 0.1, and some at just 1. I make all lines in files a thickness of 1 pt.
How do I stop the file from resizing in my 3rd party (Non Illustrator) Program?
If resizing of the file happens, this means you are using a program that is different from illustrator (the original program) to open and edit the SVG files. This occurs because your programs page/document settings is causing the file to scale down in size. To prevent this, please use the included PDF versions of the files with your program so it can "lock in" and maintain the correct page/document settings across 3rd party programs. Some examples of 3rd party programs are Inkscape, lightburn, rino, coreldraw, affinity, and any others that are not Adobe Illustrator. If you are using any program other than Adobe Illustrator to edit a file you must use the PDF document to prevent your programs custom settings from changing the scale.
