Merakiroot has inspired me to create opportunities for not only myself, but for others to become in touch with themselves mentally and spiritually through art and nature itself. My hope is that my jewelry becomes a daily reminder for the wearer to focus on their passions, along with love for both themselves and others. Most items are stocked in limited quantities; each metaphysical piece is just as unique as you are and holds a specific meaning between yourself and others. The right piece will speak to you.

Creating a small business takes a lot of time, effort, and money, especially when you're the only member of your business. Although I take time each and everyday to help advance my business, that only takes up just a part of my day. I've lived on the east coast of the US my whole life, so I get to experience the different feelings that each season brings. When not making jewelry, I'm often found in the midst of nature discovering new places to explore during the spring and summer. Being surrounded by the captivating green of the liveliness of nature and warm glow of the summer sun creates an inner-feeling of inspiration, love, and adoration. When the cold weather approaches, I try my best to not let the dullness of winter get in the way of inspiration. I've always been fascinated by nature itself because it has the ability to create its own special beauty, no matter what season, which has helped me realize and become aware of how special each and every human is on our planet.

When choosing the materials that I use for my jewelry, such as crystals and flowers, I try my best to hand pick each and every one as I tend to feel more drawn to some more than others. The earthy look I get from using imperfect stones and crystals, flowers, and other materials, is one of the things I love most about personally handcrafting jewelry. Included in each order, you will receive your jewelry in a printed, natural, burlap pouch, as we'll as our business card.

I've created a few goals for merakiroot and stated them below to share with everyone:
Goal number one: Promote self-love, inspiration, and spiritual awareness;
By combining what I'm passionate about, art and nature, I hope to promote these perspectives towards everyone who is willing, no matter the basis of race, color, sex, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability, through creation.

Goal number two: Create a successful living off of this business;
I have many plans for the future ahead for both my business and myself. The thing that excites me the most is that I get to grow with this business, see where it leads me, and take different opportunities that cross my path. I get to make mistakes, fail, learn, and succeed.

Goal number three: Expand into new opportunities;
Down the road, I am looking forward to connect with new people, both larger and smaller businesses or artists, that use different materials in unique ways that I would like to learn more about and benefit from. I would love to learn how to weld and electroform to advance my jewelry to become more efficient. (EDIT: Learn to electroform: check!)
