Hello, my name is Gillian Fowlie and I am a horse riding, Labrador owning, farmers daughter and based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. After being taught by my grandmother to knit when I was little girl I rediscovered my love for it during my university years.
When friends and family started putting my hobby to use making baby blankets out of the squares I had been randomly making. The babies are all grown up, the blankets are still in one piece after many washing machine cycles and I never stopped knitting, making cushions and stuffed toys instead of blankets.
Each blanket was as different as possible as every baby was unique and I have carried this pattern on with all my knitting projects.
Although I am a sheep famers daughter I have a large collection of acrylic wools which means the covers can be washed at 30oC, which came in very handy for the baby blankets.
I do use washed Suffolk sheep wool from my parents sheep in all the toys. They are also as unique as I can make them as I like to think it gives them their own character.
