Process used included sketch on paper, tracing sketch to block surface in graphite then darkening lines with fine point waterproof marker, removing areas of surface with engraving tools to leave the white spaces, inking block surface with a rubber brayer, setting up press and registration system on press bed, placing cotton rag paper over the inked block and administering pressure from the press to transfer ink to the paper, allowing ink time to dry on paper then adding in colour to the bird, tree foliage with watercolour paint. Print has year, edition designation (EV for Edition Varied), title and artist initials in light pencil underneath.
The paper has a deckled edge at the bottom.
