Serotonin is a neurotransmitter derived from the amino acid tryptophan. Most people associate it with its activity in the brain, but 80% of the body's serotonin is actually found in the gastrointestinal tract where it helps regulate intestinal movements. This suncatcher is based on the shape of the serotonin molecule, surrounded by coloured glass (your choice of colour) with a rough texture on the back. Assembled using the Tiffany copper foil method. Solder finish is your choice of polished silver, black or copper. Measures approximately 5.75" (14.5cm) wide by 3.5" (9cm) tall, and has two rings attached for hanging.
