Whyknotmom started simply. I started crocheting and sewing things for my oldest and all of my friend's babies, but nothing for sale. It wasn't until after my second was born that it really became a business. I went out with my girls for the first time wearing my youngest and my oldest (then 2.5) wanted to know where her carrier was! I whipped up a terrible makeshift carrier and off we went on our walk. Shortly thereafter a mom I knew asked if I had ever thought of making something for kids to carry their dolls.. So I went to work perfecting my design (to look like the soft structure baby carriers on the market like Ergos and Tulas) and decided to sell them locally and eventually on Etsy. I truly love making them and adore the idea that something I made is out there making a little person happy. I hope I get to make and sell them for a long, long time.
