Having 2 kids 4 and under and one on the way I don't have much time to read unfortunatly. The last books I've read were the Twilight series. I really wnjoyed them. That being said, if it were real life Edward would be some kind of crazy stalker type that we warn young girls about.

One of my favourite all time books is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. It's a really funny book, I love his sense of humor. It's kind of about the futility of war, but it's very entertaining. I fell in love with the main character, Yossian while I was reading it.

As for childrens books ideas for the holidays coming up, I'm not sure the author but there is a book called A Stranger In THe Woods. It has beautiful photographs a wildlife. It is a great teaching book that appeals to children 3 or older. My daughters love it. The auther also has a few others that are great also. All along the lines of the nature photography.
