This adorable "CLARENCE GNOME QUILT" foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern is the perfect addition to Moss & Lotus tomte fans or for those that are new here and just starting their gnome collection!

The quilt is a cozy lap size and measures 46"x61" when finished (you can easily increase the size by adding more rows/columns - fabric requirements are given for the full finished lap quilt and for single blocks).

The two featured blocks: Clarence Full Gnome Block (measures 14"x14" when finished) and Clarence Gnome Face Only Block (measures 10"x10" or 14"x14" when finished) are adorable as alternating quilt blocks in the included quilt, however, for variety you can of course replace one block with a star or other traditional quilt block. The two included gnome blocks are also perfect for stand alone quilt blocks in other projects you may have in mind (like pillow shams, wall hangings, placemats and tote bags). The Full Gnome Block can be made with Clarence's hands/gloves at his sides or behind his back. He can also be made similar to my tomte 'Horizon series' blocks with a foreground and background (brief instructions are included) so that you can pair him up with my tomte patterns to have projects with different sized gnomes! (Go big or go GNOME!)

The Clarence Gnome Quilt PDF also includes instructions and placement for optional embroidered 'Closed Happy Eyes' if you wish. You can of course experiment with other eye shapes too.

🍄 Clarence Full Gnome - 14"x14" quilt block (hands/gloves at sides or behind back)
🍄 Clarence Face Only - 14"x14" & 10"x10" quilt blocks
🍄 Closed Happy Eyes - optional embroidery template and written instructions for both blocks

(Please note there's no physical finished project included in this PDF/purchase..only the PDF for the quilt and blocks listed above are included.)

Patterns and tips, plus instructions and diagrams for assembling sections together are included in the PDF. Basic paper piecing instructions are NOT included. Experience with foundational paper piecing and standard sewing supplies are needed to complete the quilt and blocks in this PDF. (A quick search online or YouTube will pull up a great selection of helpful tutorials if you're just getting started learning paper piecing!). You will need a printer to print the patterns in the PDF in order to sew the blocks. A PDF reader is needed for this pattern. If you do not have one, Adobe Reader or other applications are available online, usually for free. This PDF includes 16 pages total.
