This listing is for an 8x10 in. high quality digital fine art print of my original digital collage, "Little Angie Underworld (Psychopomp I)." It is printed to order on archival 235 gsm paper by Legion. This paper has a smooth, bright white matte finish, and produces exceptionally striking graphics and colors.

About the artwork:

The original digital collage is made from found antique photographs and scanned handmade textures. This piece is a portrait of an imagined family psychopomp; my great aunt, Angie, who died when she was only seven years old. That said, my goal with this collage, as with most of my other artwork, is to explore the universal themes of death and trauma in a way that is beautiful to look at and invites the viewer to consider these weighty subjects in a new light. Modern Memento Mori, if you will.

Psychompomps are mythological figures that appear in nearly every culture and religion throughout history. They typically appear as creatures, spirits, angels, or deities whose responsibility it is to escort newly deceased souls from Earth to the afterlife.

About the print:

This 8x10 in. art print will be shipped in a rigid mailer between two stiff backing boards. It will arrive in a protective eco sleeve made from biodegradable plant fibers, immediately ready to print or display. Please note that this collage includes the appearance of wear, dust, and scratches on the black background. This is a part of the artwork, not a flaw in the print. Please avoid touching the surface of the print as much as possible while transferring it to a frame in order to keep it in tip top shape. :)
