As a Florida artist, Sandhill Cranes have held my heart for many years, as you'll see in my other watercolor prints. I'm lucky enough to see the daily in our yard and land surrounding our Florida home. They inspire and heal me, mind and soul. Cranes represent many noble things, and transformation and longevity are just a couple of them. Paired with the image of cattails, which are also linked to healing, peace, and prosperity throughout many different cultures, it was a focused meditation on healing for me.
This particular print is 5/10 of an edition AFTER the first trial proof pulled from the carved Speedball block you see in the process video. Every lino print is hand pulled, so there will NEVER be one just like it.
