ABOUT THE HOOP
- Solar Storm is a beautiful color-shifting tape that shows the deep rich colors of the sun.
-Quick release button connection. Although the hoops can be double coiled for transport we do not recommend this and instead suggest securing the coiled hoop with simple velcro straps.
-Polycarb insert connection comes standard and at no additional cost. This insert material may be a little tougher to connect/ disconnect but will provide far greater longevity for the hoop.
-Our hoops are measured by the outer diameter.

HULA HOOP SIZING
We cannot give exact size recommendations as hoop sizes are HIGHLY individualized depending on your body type, skill level, and hooping style. A good rule of thumb is to measure from your belly button to the ground and this will be a good approximation for a hoop size that fits you.

The below recommendations are also a good starting point assuming you are new to hooping and are mostly interested in on-body hooping:
-5'8" and up 38-40 inch diameter- 3/4" tubing
-5'5" and up 35-38 inch diameter- 3/4" tubing
-5'4" and under 33-35 inch diameter- 3/4" or 5/8" tubing
-5'1" and under 30-33 inch diameter- 3/4" or 5/8" tubing
-Hoop sizes under 32" pair best with 5/8" tubing and are generally better suited for off-body hooping styles.

We do not recommend using 5/8" tubing in diameters larger than 34". These hoops tend to feel quite flimsy and for this reason, if we receive an order for 5/8" tubing in a diameter greater than 34" we will substitute it for 3/4" tubing.

HDPE VS POLYPRO
HDPE hoops are often recommended for beginners because of their durability and forgiving nature. Although HDPE is excellent for learning basic hula hooping techniques it can also be well suited for advanced hoopers alike.
Polypro hoops are better suited for intermediate to advanced hula hoopers who want a lighter, faster, and more responsive hoop for complex tricks and dance routines.
