I bought Owl, Cat and Raven for a particular trio of books needing plates. 2 were matte and 1 was slightly glossy, the latter I wouldn't risk with a fountain/calligraphy pen in case the ink didn't dry properly. So that impacted how I was able to inscribe them to match. They don't have snap backs and are quite difficult to pick off the backing sheet. They are expensive for a single bookplate, but the artwork was good and they were perfect the trio of books I had.
