As a long time bat fan looking for ways to combat negative misconceptions about bats I decided to create drawings of colorful happy-looking bats. A lot of bat artwork is dark and mysterious, but do the bats themselves feel this way? They live long lives, form social bonds, and have sophisticated bat to bat communication.
