About the Painting:

In the pacific northwest there are these flowering trees that capture my heart. This is one of them. This relative of the rhododendrun was staring down at me from the canopy it created over a pathway on the Olympic Peninsula. This pink flower had deep red and the lightest, most delicate pinks in it's spectrum. I embellished some swirls into it's patterning and swirled the background environment as well. To me it's a reminder of the power of beauty looking down upon us.
