Super stretchy alpaca skirt follows the beautiful shape of your body and allows full range of movement. This skirt can be dressed up or down to suit your mood. While wearing this skirt, you are ready to go anywhere!

The skirt can be made for you in any natural color alpaca, which are shown in the last picture. I can also make it in organic merino wool - either natural white or I can dye it with black walnut which can create a variety of browns. I do not purchase yarn dyed in acid dyes due to the chemicals involved in the process. Since the fiber is not dyed, the white is ivory in color and the black may appear as a very dark brown in some lighting.

This skirt is cozy and warm as it gently hugs you. A drawstring made from the same yarn as the skirt secures it on your hips. After having children I realize this can be super important as they hung on my skirts and would have pulled them down.

This skirt, since it is stretchy, fits a wide range of people. It is about 17-19 inches long but maybe be shorter depending on the width of hips. Please see size chart to order the size most appropriate for you, the hip measurement is the crucial measurement.

Please note* this skirt is a hand made, knitted skirt. Due to the knitting, there are spaces between the stitches. If this is worn in a situation with back lighting, the silhouettes of your legs may be seen through the skirt.

The skirt come with a knit drawstring at the waist. If you would prefer elastic please let me know. The elastic is made with organic cotton and natural rubber. It is completely biodegradable.

Each item is lovingly, handmade by myself once your order is placed.

Hand wash gently only when needed.

Alpaca is fuzzier, warmer and a bit heavier than the wool. The wool is coarser, and a more structural. Woollywhotknots has two thickness of the organic, merino wool that can be used. Sport weight and fingering weight. The sport is thicker and heavier, it is also a bit thicker than the alpaca. The fingering weight is lighter and thinner than both the alpaca and the sport weight wool. The color choices in the listings' photos only show the natural alpaca colors. The wool comes in unbleached ivory white. I usually have some dyed with black walnut husks (organically grown on our farm). Please ask to see the shades of brown that are available. The alpaca doesn’t not pill like wool does.

Omg! This is one of my favorite items of clothing I got on Etsy. The vendor and I are kindred spirits in that she makes everything organic/natural in gorgeously luxurious neutral colors, yet still form fitting and attractive. I requested a custom length and it turned out perfect and the fit is spot on. I love how cozy it is. Also it came smelling natural (without any chemicals on it or next to it during shipping) and was packed with a cute little sachet of herbs I believe meant to keep moths away.
