ABOUT THE IMAGE:
"Barn on Honeoye Creek" is a scene I had driven past many times, and photographed a few times with so-so results. It was a gorgeous winter day - not too cold with large, soft flakes falling. As I scoped out the location this time, the scene was "in my face" like never before - falling snow sticking to everything, the mid-creek "snow pillows" starting to form, and the small, red barn. Best of all, it was not too cold so my fingers would survive! Several nice images resulted from this location; this was my favorite.
No original artwork is complete without the artist's identification. All of our work is signed in a lower corner with a soft, subtle watermark using our business font. Look closely and you'll see that it will not interfere with the enjoyment of the piece.
WHY CANVAS?
We feel there are several advantages to photographs printed on canvas:
1. Your artwork can be hung in your home the day it arrives.
2. Our BLACK BORDER on the sides (click small image above) gives the canvas a more finished, slightly more formal look that works with almost any decor.
NOTE: An image wrapped border, rather than black, MAY be available at no extra charge. (See Special Inquiries below)
3. Canvas, with it’s UV coating, is more cost effective than a framed print, which requires archival matting and UV glass for long term protection.
4. Canvas lacks the glare and reflections that can hinder viewing artwork covered with glass.
THE PRINT AND CANVAS:
- The image is printed on the highest quality canvas, with archival inks and UV coatings formulated to protect against color change over time.
- The canvas is stretched over a 1 1/4” wood frame with pre-installed hanging hardware and a finished backing of rigid, black board.
- The frame is made with a solid face to support the canvas and prevent loosening.
- NOTE: Be aware that computer monitors vary, especially Apple to PC (in my personal experience) so there may be some variation in the color or intensity of your print. I work with both monitors and strive for color that will look best on canvas in average ambient light.
