Custom cast and hand finished, this silver cat pendant , "My Fat Cat" ships with an 18" Sterling Silver Chain. This design is one of over 150 in our "Animal Whimsey" line of copyrighted pet jewelry. This pendant weighs approx. 7.11 grams without the chain. The diamond is approx. 1.6mm in size and is a F/G VS quality.

This Cat Pendant is custom made from an individual wax carving and cast using the lost wax casting process and hand finished using sand blasting, and several sanding and polishing processes. We specialize in unique, custom jewelry and more.

A special patina with liver of sulphur was applied to bring out more of the detail of the piece and give it an antique look. Liver of sulphur is used to create a patina which can range from a brown, purple, blue, green to a black. Each piece is going to be unique since the patina is painted on and then I buff off what I want to remain shiny. As the patina cures, the silver reacts chemically with the sulphur which makes it darker and as it oxidises, it eventually turns black. The end result is the detailed texture I use with sand blasting and carved features on the piece are more vivid
