This colorful note card features a reproduction of an original linocut: The Red Hen. This spunky little chicken is posed in a field of wheat which she plans to use for baking bread.

The original artwork is a multi-block linocut, meaning I hand carved a separate block of linoleum for each color, rolled printmaking ink on the blocks and printed each block in succession with a printing press which applies pressure to transfer the ink to paper.

These reproduction note cards were commercially printed for me from a scan of the original artwork. The cards are 5 x 7in. (12.6 x 17.8cm) and come with a white envelope. The inside is blank so you can write your own message.

Cards are shipped in a clear plastic protective sleeve in a sturdy padded mailer.
