Detailed representation of two bees carrying a drop of honey to their honeycomb.
This amazing pendant dates back to the Bronze Age (1800 - 1700 BC) and it has been found in a Minoan Palace at Malia, Crete.
The original golden pendant, is one of the most famous exhibits in the Heraklion Museum, on the island of Crete in Greece. (see photo #2)
This jewelry piece is evidence of the artist's mastery of the process of granulation, the technique of soldering tiny pieces of metal, on the surface of the cast jewel.
