For those of you who aren't sure whether a knitting belt is right for you or for those of you who are teaching children to knit with a belt, I'm making a few minis. They are constructed the same way as the full-size belts.
Leather minis are $26 each.
brown, brown distressed (light or dark), black, red (glossy dark), red (matte), burgundy, orange, green (glossy dark), green (matte), green (light), blue (dark), blue (light), navy, purple (drum-dyed), mauve, yellow, brown (suede), turquoise (suede)
** If you purchase the mini and decide to upgrade to the larger belt, just mail the mini back to me for $15 credit toward the full-sized belt. When I receive your mini, I will create a custom order through Etsy and PM you the link.

A knitting belt allows you to knit faster and with less stress on the hands and wrists. It also makes Fair Isle and intarsia knitting less fussy because you have more control over the yarn without holding the right needle.
Knitting belts allow people with arthritis, tendinitis, repetitive thumb injuries and other disabilities to knit more easily, because gripping a knitting needle can be painful. I started using a knitting belt and long double-pointed needles (DPNs) because I have thumb tendinitis. I wanted to tackle some circular knitting projects that I wouldn’t have been able to do with traditional circular needles.
For hundreds of years, knitters used knitting belts to facilitate their knitting, and much of their knitting was done when walking from place to place. Many of the great masterpiece knitting projects such as Shetland wedding ring lace shawls, Aran sweaters, and British fishermans’ ganseys were traditionally knit using a knitting belt and/or a knitting sheath.

* I stuff the leather belts with a black nylon netting, like what wedding veils are made of. You can get large needles through the netting, but you may need to work at the netting just a little at first to make a "channel" through it. It does not degrade over time, and you can shift it around a bit and modify the angle of the needle just as well as the traditional horsehair stuffing.
* All knitting belts come with a 30" belt (attached to the stuffed pouch) and one 30" extension belt so you can wear the pouch at your thigh, waist or hip. If you need a second 30" extension belt, please let me know, and I'll send one free of charge!
* Also included is a power-loading tool to reduce strain when holding a needle-full of work.
* Just a reminder... leather is a highly variable product. I have dyed it as evenly as possible, but there may be some shading variations on each product. If you'd like for me to take a photo of your actual product, please let me know.
* If you don't see what you need, or if the ordering process isn't working, please let me know what you'd like via convo, and I'll put together a custom invoice for you.
** Please note: long double-pointed needles (DPNs) are sold separately.

Please see my website, www.knitting-belts.com to view videos. There is also a detailed explanation on how to use the knitting belt!
If there's something wrong with the knitting belt, or if the stitching comes undone for any reason (though that's never happened), I'll offer a free replacement upon return of the original. Your happiness is important to me!
