My ninth and final installment in my Enneagram series - Type Nine!
Commonly referred to as “The Peacemaker” or “The Mediator”, I have chosen to call this particular character The Priest.
It is impossible to capture the complexities of any type in a singular image, so it has to be an archetype or caricature to some degree.
I chose a tribal style and aesthetic for this series because I believe each and every type is necessary and needed in the collective human tribe. Each one with a distinct and unique role to play in our world.
The Priest is the tribal counselor. They are balanced and provide guidance and judgments for the tribe. They are a diplomatic judge able to empathize with all the various tribe members.
Grey is the color for the Nine. They are muted, sleepy, and withdrawn. The moments of orange and brown reflect the growth and stress points of the type Nine towards Three and Six. But they also have elements of all the colors/types. Empathetic of all types, but lost to their own identity.
A turtle represents the spirit animal of the Nine. They are slow, sleepy, slothful, and tend to withdraw.
I tried to capture the good and the bad of the Nine. Receptive but detached. Balanced but apathetic.
If you are a type Nine, I hope this represents you well enough. As well as one small image can.
Thank you to all the Nines for the unique role you play in the human tribe. We need you.
