All block variations are FPP (foundational paper piecing) patterns and sized for 6"x6" finished quilt blocks. These quilt block scenes can be great scenery blocks to add versatility to your tomte and other gnome/nature themed projects or make great border blocks in larger projects!

The ‘Mushroom House Scene’ PDF includes 3 (three) options - a mushroom with little door with moss and mushroom cap roof, double mushroom - large and small mushroom, or single large mushroom (ALL 3 mushroom options are included in the PDF download!!). (Note: None of the blocks can be split in half to create a 3”x6” block like many of the other tomte and scenery blocks can for use in specific finishing projects that use a half block.)

Note: This block is part of my ‘Horizon Series’ and is compatible with any Horizon Series block that is also a 6”x6” or Horizon Series project that fits a 6”x6” block. The block can easily be resized to a larger size to accommodate more projects and add variety to whatever you wish to make (your printer and/or computer would need the capability to resize - most these days are able to. If you enlarge this block by 33.33% you will have an 8”x8” finished block (which as previously mentioned - cannot be split in half.)

{Note: there are no 'Y seams' in any of the blocks}

🍄 This block is a great addition to any of my Tomte quilt blocks and is included in the Oma & Opa Tomte Bundle {Pattern # B-2}.

NOTE: Blocks separately purchased will NOT be refunded if you change your mind and buy the bundle.. so be sure to check the bundle option which includes bonuses! (All other tomten and scenes sold separate - there is a bundle of the first 3 original tomte with a house and tree scene block - {B-1}.) These quilt blocks are also a great stand alone block for any other projects you might have in mind. These quilt blocks would easily lend themselves to many different finished projects like mug rugs, quilts, wall hangings, decorative pillows, and/or table runners!!! They can of course be made with a Christmas or Winter theme, but they also work well with a Valentine's, Garden and gnome theme!! I wonder what you'll come up with! Patterns and tips, plus instructions for assembling sections together are included in the PDF. Basic paper piecing instructions are NOT included. Experience with foundational paper piecing and standard sewing supplies and tools are needed to complete this quilt block. (A quick search online or YouTube will pull up a great selection of helpful tutorials if you're just getting started learning paper piecing!!). You will need a printer to print the patterns in the PDF in order to sew the blocks. A PDF reader is needed for this pattern. If you do not have one, Adobe Reader is available online, usually for free.
