This small self watering pot is perfect for little moisture loving plants like African violets. It has a unique durable glaze finish. Its two piece design has a water permeable, partially unfinished ceramic insert, providing constant moisture directly to the soil and roots. The base holds enough water to keep your beloved plant hydrated for a week+ (depending on climate). Handcrafted in Colorado, from mud to functional art.

The insert has a 2.75 inch wide planting area that is 3.25 inches deep and rests comfortably in the base. The base is approximately 4.5 inches wide. The entire assembly is about 4 inches tall.

Unfinished ceramic is porous, so water is able to pass through it. No need to add a hole. When you receive your Watering Spike all you need to do is gently put it into your plant's soil and fill it with water. Our design is superior to the glass bulbs because it does not have to be removed from the soil to refill it, so you are less likely to damage roots and it is super easy to fill while you are watering. Watering Spikes do not replace the need to water your plants, it is an aid to help high-maintenance plants stay well hydrated between waterings.

We love to help someone get just the right finish on one of our watering spikes, and in some cases, just the right extra accent on one of our existing items. Due to the varying nature in all things ceramic, a nominal fee (usually $5-10) will be assessed depending on the complexity of the project.

Most projects of the above scope can be ready to ship in 4-6 weeks; at that point we will send a personal, customized listing for you to purchase when ready! (Items whose customized listing expires will be sold at our discretion.)
