This 'Twas The Night pattern series is inspired by Clement C. Moore's 1823 poem, A Visit From St. Nicholas (more commonly known as The Night Before Christmas).
The pattern PDFs will be available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD once your payment is completed! Etsy will send you an automatic email that includes your download links or you can access them via your Etsy account.
See the individual pattern listings of each ornament in my shop for specific details, sizes, and material lists, but this is the gist of what you'll need to make the series:
Wool or wool-blend felts
DMC flosses
Silver sewing thread
Poly or wool stuffing
Tacky Glue™ or similar fabric glue
Cotton pipe cleaners
card stock
ribbon
stiffened felt
seed beads and sequins
mini poms and jingle bells
20 mm/8 mm unfinished wood beads
Chenille stems
Gel pens or fabric markers
Printer (toner works better than ink)
Sulky® Printable Stick ‘n Stitch™
Dritz Fray Check™ or similar (optional)
Toothpicks
Small, sharp scissors
Size 5 embroidery needles
Hand sewing supplies like needles, pins, stuffing fork or dowel, ruler, good movies, coffee, etc...
HOW HARD ARE THESE TO MAKE? If you can do precision cutting of very small pieces, basic hand stitches (running stitch, whipstitch, backstitch), can work on a small scale, and are familiar with sewing and embroidery terms, then you can make these ornaments.
HERE'S WHY: This series utilizes a Sulky brand water-soluble stabilizer which makes putting the ornaments together easy, fast and accurate. Simply print or copy the pattern to the stabilizer, adhere it to the felt, and embroider right on the lines.
NO TEDIOUS PATTERN TRACING OR EMBROIDERY TRANSFER. Fantastic! (If you can't use the Sulky stabilizer, I've also included instructions for that.)
These patterns are in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 paper, so you can print them from your regular printer at home on standard paper and stabilizer, as many times as you need for personal use.
NOTE: These decorations have small parts and may present a choking hazard. This is not an ornament project designed for children under the age of three.
COTTAGE INDUSTRY SELLERS: If you are a home sewer, yes, it is OK to make and sell items with your own clever hands from these patterns, as long as you credit me for the pattern. No mass production allowed. Please review: https://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/p/selling-guide.html
