I grew up in Springfield, Missouri, camping with my family in the beautiful Ozarks mountains, building fairy houses in my backyard, and reading, reading, reading. I've never lost that feeling that magic is real, and it's out there, I just haven't stumbled across it quite yet. I started trying to capture this magic by writing about it, and gradually, my stories became ever more visual.
I studied animation at the School of Visual Arts, and since graduating in 2013, I've worked a variety of roles in the worlds of animation and comics. I've also had a lot of fun venturing into the world of anime conventions and creating fan art based on my favorite series.
In 2015 I launched my first original webcomic, Sylvania- a space fantasy story about witches who are on a mission to Mars to use their magic to terraform the planet. I sell print versions of the first two chapters in my shop here, but you can read the whole thing online at www.sylvaniacomic.com!
