Hello, My name is Joanna Earthflower. My partner Vadim and I are medicinal Herbalism students currently working on our Master Herbalist and Medicinal Herbalism degrees. My parents both immigrated from Poland and Vadim was born in Kiev and immigrated with his family whom were raised in Ukraine and Moldova. His mom and my dad were both born and raised on old country farms and reflecting that, both our families have long practiced basic home herbalism. We chose to follow the path of our ancestors and we have long practiced herbalism at home; devising new herbal recipes, bringing back traditional ones, and helping our friends and family be able to feel confident that they, too, could practice herbalism and take back control over their health and their bodies.
We started Earthflower Herbs because we had a handful of herbal teas that have been tried and trusted for years now and we wanted to share them with you! Our family has always been both environmentally conscious and quality-orientated. We know that commercial herbs are poorly treated; they're grown in monocultures, sprayed with chemicals, stored in non-climate controlled warehouses for weeks and shipped overseas in huge shipping containers before making it into your brew. Not only does this take away from a plants' medicinal value, but it's neither healthy for you, nor Mother Earth.
Currently, we source Certified Organic and 100% GMO-free herbs, most of which are also Kosher, Social and Fair Trade Certified. All our wildcrafted herbs have been sustainably gathered in their wild habitat by experienced collectors who always leave enough in the habitat to promote regeneration and cultivated herbs are grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides, growth agents, and free from irradiation and chemical sterilization. Our teas are 100% vegan, we'll never, ever test on animals and our business supports farmers and suppliers who support ethical farming practices and healthy water programs for native salmon conservation.
Soon, we plan to grow as many herbs as we can on our own organic herb farm. We can't wait!
