shay ometz and jeff barfoot are cofounders of bee things, where they make art prints and posters, apparel and products for kiddos and home.
jim henson once said, "my hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when i got here." shay and jeff love to design, illustrate and print things that make them happy, and they hope to make the people out in the world that see them a bit happier, too.
jeff and shay’s design and illustration have been featured in communication arts, print magazine, and on the popular blog design*sponge. most recently, their home and work were featured in readymade magazine. they are proud to have done projects for at&t, crate and barrel, the dallas museum of art, fossil, neiman marcus, neenah paper, the new york times, nickelodeon, papyrus recycled greetings, parragon books, sappi paper, univision, and weldon owen.
they have been asked to show their work and address several professional groups and university programs, and they are honored to have judged several design competitions, among them the prestigious communication arts design annual.
jeff and shay live and work in dallas, texas with their two shaggy-haired sons and their two mini weenie dogs.
