Nein, ICH FERTIGE JEDES SCHMUCKSTÜCK VON HAND AN.

I live in BERLIN and my goldsmith's workshop is also located in Berlin. I really enjoy working there. I like to design and manufacture new pieces of jewelry as well as to produce for individual orders. It just gives me a great feeling to create an interesting and at the same time beautiful piece of jewelry made of the hard material gold or silver, which shines beautifully, but lacks expression and character.
It is always important to me that the ring, the ear stud, the pendant or the brooch resembles a small WORK OF ART - at least a little bit. But in the end, you have to decide whether I am succeeding in this.
I take the trouble to make every piece of jewelry individually. In other words, I don't have any molds that would certainly be effective in making the same shape over and over again. But I wouldn't like that, just as I don't like industrial mass-produced goods. No, I make every piece of jewelry by hand.
What that means in concrete terms, I want to explain to you using a pair of ear studs as an example. I saw out two little plates from a sheet of silver or gold. Here you can already imagine that these small plates - they might measure 3x3mm - will not be one hundred percent identical. Of course, I could work on them and trim them to match. But that's exactly what I don't do, because it's important to me that you can still recognize the handmade art in the finished piece of jewelry. To me this is defining the ARTISTIC AND CRAFTMANSHIP of my jewelry in addition to the individual design. I then, for example, process the small plates with a structured hammer so that they also get a surface structure. Finally, I decorate the plates, e.g. by soldering a gold stick or a small setting for a gemstone. At last, I solder the pin to the back and file all corners and edges smooth.
Yes, I admit, this is a longer, maybe even arduous work process, but I enjoy it and maybe you will feel this JOY when wearing the piece of jewelry from my goldsmith's workshop.
If I should characterize my goldsmith's work, I would classify it as rather FILIGREE and DELICATE. Sometimes also playful, but still clear in its expression, and sometimes more pictorial, especially with the brooches and pendants, which, thanks to the larger area, offer me the basis for creating something like picture miniatures.
I especially like making WEDDING RINGS, which you can see in the many rings that I show here on Etsy. I think wedding rings are something special: although they come as a couple, they still don't have to be the same, but in turn should reflect an inner common harmony, which should also be exactly the basis of every marriage. In other words, the rings are the outward sign of love and trust between woman and man, woman and woman, man and man. It is very important to me that you tell me your ideas for the design of your wedding rings, because they should go exactly well with the respective couple, and as far as it is technically feasible, I will be happy to realize your wishes.
I only use fair trade 925 silver and 14ct and 18ct gold. I would find it irresponsible not to think outside the box. Therefore FAIRNESS and SUSTAINIBILITY are also very important to me when mining precious metals. Fairtrade or Fairmined Silver and Gold is committed to protecting people and the environment in small-scale mining. When you buy, you will receive a certificate from me that the goods are correct.
I could probably describe a lot more here, but I think that you have now got a little insight into my basic ideas about my goldsmith's work. Ultimately, I think, the pieces of jewelry show what I mean, and of course, if you do have any questions, please get in touch with me. I'll answer as soon as I can.
