That's my dog, Fyvush Finkel! He was named after an actor, who died 4 years ago, at 93 (though I named him, when Fyvush was still alive). I cast him in his last project, a film that shot in Chicago. He had the best time.
Ok, about me, I grew up in a family that loved vintage. I would tag along to auctions, antique stores and flea markets all over. I buy what I hope others will like. I have learned that there is something for everyone's taste. I like buying all kinds of things. My other career is in the Entertainment business. When I was between jobs, I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I started to browse in thrift stores, flea markets and garage sales more frequently (then I wouldn't feel guilty spending money). I also started watching shows like "American Pickers," "Flea Market Flip" and various antique shows. This made me realize that I can be my own picker. I decided to open an online shop. I LOVE IT. I love doing the research for my items, taking the photos, writing the descriptions and making customers happy! The most fun (and the most dangerous) is the shopping. I find it fascinating to discover how people lived, in all the different eras.
Regarding shipping prices, I am a big recycler when it comes to boxes and bubble wrap. I make sure they are clean, but the boxes may not look crisp, as a new box would. My goal is to keep the shipping costs down for you by having recycled supplies on hand. Sometimes, I need to purchase a certain size box, packing materials or envelopes, I may not have. That would cause the shipping to be a little higher. If the shipping is a lot less than I calculated, after packing materials, I will refund you the difference. If I can get the item in a poly envelope, I'll do that to make it lighter and more affordable to you. I just make sure it is very well protected.
My goal is for you to be happy, your satisfaction is what is most important to me. I am so happy when I get good feedback from you.
