My name is Tara and I am a high school math teacher turned stay-at-home mom. I love to just about anything that involves the beach, flip flops, and being out in the country. Those things rarely go together, but I try sometimes. I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, FL; which is where I believe I gained my love for the beach. Daytona has the most beautiful white beaches. My photography business, Made in God’s Image Photography, was inspired by my first born and God, of course. As adults we sometimes struggle to see the beauty in being creating in the image of God mostly because we have become flawed by the time we reach adulthood. But looking at my daughter for the first time and thinking that she was absolutely perfect (and still is) I was able to see how much God loves all of us.
I specialize in portraiture, but I love to take my camera out with to my “mommy time” which usually involves a long walk alone in nature. Almost all my “fine art” photos are inspired by nature, the rest come from vacations I have taken. I carry photographic prints for the home or office and blank note cards in my store. I use a variety of Nikon products in making all items featured.
The thing I enjoy most about my job is the amazement I experience from every satisfying shot. When we walk through the world busy with our everyday lives we rarely notice the artwork that God has provided all around us. When I take pictures I am forced to stop and focus only what I see through the view finder. That’s when I see God’s fingerprints.
