Out of Our Minds (O3M) is the brainchild of Barbara Koffer and Sam Schmer.


We met in the world of advertising soon after graduating from college with our BFAs. After years of working together in art direction and graphic design, we have
embarked upon a new venture - fused glass!


Each one of our pieces is hand-crafted in one of our two Northern Virginia studios. Our jewelry designs involve combining layers of iridized, opaque, transparent and dichroic glass. We then cut, kiln-fire, shape and polish each piece into a one-of-a-kind treasure. Our larger kilnformed glass pieces are created utilizing a variety of design and cold working techniques that result in contemporary and functional works of art.
