In 2004 I discovered the world of semiprecious gem stones. My life changed the day I wandered into a small bead shop quite by accident. I was literally overwhelmed by the strings of turquoise, coral, quartz, and jasper neatly hanging behind the counter. I wanted to touch, play with, create something from each of them!!! My passion for stones grew as I branched out to still bigger shops (including my favorite to this day, Bittercreek Design in San Antonio, Texas). Before long I founded Of Earth as an outlet for my seemingly endless creative urges and as a way to pay for my "habit".

I have had the great fortune of living in coastal California (with the ocean), Switzerland (with the Alps/proximity to the great cities of Europe), and Texas (with the hill country/prairie/beautiful horses). All have all influenced my work, my sense of self and my love of life.

I hope that the creative and spiritual connection I feel to the ocean, to nature, and to the Earth is reflected in each piece of jewelry that I make.
