Over 25 years ago, Awl Made Here was born on St John in the US Virgin Islands. As I learned the how-to's of working with different leathers and various tools, the business began to grow at a nice, comfortable pace and has kept me busy since! Who knew that leather-work would end up being my calling?!
Now located in Southport NC, I am working hard in my home studio & am grateful to be able to work at home. Please know that I appreciate your visit to my Etsy store!

Sizing details
Please make sure to read the specs I have provided on each listing. If something isn't quite right for you (maybe you want a purse strap to be a different length, for example), just let me know and I will take care of it if I can.

Care instructions
Leather is a natural product. Hides vary in color, finish, shape & size, making every piece of leather - and the things made from it - one of a kind.
Some leathers will surface scratch more than others. No need for alarm, this is normal. Usually a good buffing (rub in circular motions with a clean, dry rag) will do the trick.
If you want your leather to last and last, every now and again you’ll want to condition it. Good products are saddle soap, mink oil, or neatsfoot oil (you can find these at most hardware stores). Try a test spot first though, as these products may darken your leather. Note: they are not to be used on suede! Follow the product directions as advised.
