Addicted to making natural soap that cleans our sensitive skin and hair without harsh chemicals!

Why do I make soap?
My husband and I have sensitive skin, and in our case, two negatives do not make a positive because all four of our children also have sensitive skin. I started making soap that was gentle, but still provided natural benefits. My teenagers use charcoal soap to clean their faces, and they've found it helpful to combat oily skin and acne. My husband uses the citrus shaving pucks and a badger brush and never gets a rash or breakouts after shaving. I started with hand and body bars and quickly graduated to facial cleansers and shampoo bars. I just fell in love with creating different recipes and wanted to share my soap with everyone I knew that had sensitive skin. I started taking requests from family and friends and eventually started selling my soap.

What does my soap do?
It cleans! Pure and simple. Each soap is formulated a little bit differently and the ingredients are combined to be better for some things, but all soaps are designed to clean, and can be used on hair, face and body. An example of this is my shaving pucks. Shaving soap includes bentonite clay to provide slip, lending to a smoother shave, but this soap can really be used on anything.

I'm a mom, a wife, a sister and a creator. I love to cook, read historical fiction and make soap! I'm totally addicted to making 100% plant based natural soaps from pure and simple ingredients. My soap is made the old fashioned way with the cold process method. This is an extreme test of delayed gratification because each bar takes 4-6 weeks to fully cure, but is always worth the wait. I'm always on the lookout for ways to detox my family from the chemicals we have grown accustomed to in everyday life. I grew up making jam with my Grandma, and I carry on the tradition with my kids and one day in the waaaay distant future, I hope I'll be making jam and soap with my grandchildren.
