Frequently asked questions

What am I allowed to do with the images purchased in your store?

All the design resources available in my store are licensed to allow usage in personal and commercial projects, but not directly resold or redistributed.

✔ You may use my images in your craft projects.

✔ You may then sell your finished product on Etsy or other online marketplace, craft and art fairs, etc.

✔ Distribution of the images must be as an end product, i.e. pillows, t-shirts, coasters, jewelry, etc.

*Copyright is not transferred with the purchasing of an image. When you pay, you are paying to use the image in your project, I retain the image copyrights.

Basically, you can do anything with the purchased images except actions that compete with my business or make it easy for another person to have the image.**

What is not okay to do with the images purchased in your store?

✘ Images may NOT be distributed as is (unaltered) digitally. They may not be published as is for digital resale.

✘ Images may NOT be published for sale on any print-on-demand distribution sites such as cafepress.com, polyvore.com, zazzle.com, redbubble.com, bigcartel.com and other such sites that may not be listed.

✘ You may NOT make the item available in such a way that someone could steal the image.

I am using PhotoShop templates to create display images for my shop. Can I use your original images embed in my template?

Yes, as an exception you may use my original images you have purchased exhibited as a part of your product image, BUT only if my images are no bigger then 200-300 pixels 90ppi in size, and are covered with WATERMARKS, so the images could not be stolen.

How do I upload files to silhouette studio?

1. Check which version of Silhouette Studio you have. If you have upgraded Designer version you should use SVG files. If you have basic edition then use DXF files.

2. Open Silhouette Studio, and select File you want, Import, Import to Library from the top menu.

3. Go to the location where you saved your files, and select the file.

4. Your Library will open, and Studio will automatically place the file in your My Own Designs folder.

5. Open the file by double clicking the thumbnail image in your Library.
To access the file in the future, select File, Library from the top menu bar. You will see the file in your My Own Designs folder.

How do I open a zip file?

Don't worry, it's easy. For an easy guide with pictures just copy and paste the following link in a new tab or window:
http://www.wikihow.com/Open-a-.Zip-File-Without-Winzip

I want to print the files but I don't have a cutting machine. Can I change the colors before printing?

Yes! Just follow these steps:

1. Download free software called Inkscape, found at inkscape.org.

2. In Inkscape, press File, Open, and select the SVG file from the extracted zip folder you purchased.

3. Right click on the image, and press Ungroup.

4. Click on the portion of color that you'd like to change, and then select a new color from the bottom panel.

5. Once complete, you can either print directly from Inkscape, or press File, Export as Bitmap to save as a PNG to use later.
