I stand about 5'3". Growing up in a family of boys, I tried extra hard to feel big, strong, equal. I was around 10 years old when I stumbled across a vendor tent of miniatures at an arts festival in my hometown of Buffalo, NY. I was enamored, inspired, BIG.

Ever since I have toyed with polymer clay creations. I attended Purchase College Film Conservatory in an attempt to become a stop-motion animator. After countless hours alone in a windowless room, moving characters inch by inch, I decided that stop motion animating wasn't for me. Once I graduated college I dove back into polymer clay creation. As a recent graduate, I was wondering who I would be and what I would do with my love for tangible creating plus a degree in Film. On a whim, I applied for a vendor's booth at an arts festival in Buffalo, NY and left the weekend with half of my inventory sold and a Second Best in Show ribbon. The best takeaway of all though was the positive and affirming feedback from curious festival-goers. Once again I was inspired to create mini things of all kinds, even if it wasn't a promising career path.

Now, almost 10 years later, I still grapple with the question of "what will I DO with my talents and passions?" Surely a miniature business cannot sustain me... (right?). In the meantime I enjoy lots of different things-- I serve and bartend at the popular Indian street food restaurant Chai Pani, I garden and volunteer with many organizations in the Asheville/Buncombe county area such as Bounty and Soul and Dr. John Wilson Community garden. I cook, write, rock climb, and call my parents every week. It's a busy, happy, creative life. Thanks for supporting me, supporting art, and reading to the bottom! :P
