Partners in life and business, Jess and Jamie Lea Wade first met in art school, back in the 90s.
About 10 years ago, they started Exponential Art, with the belief that art can be exponential in its scope and reach. Art saves lives.
Jamie & Jess enjoy curating shows together, teaching, demonstrating at festivals, judging art fairs, working with kids through scholastic and more.
Both long term residents at the Eye of the Dog Art Center, they also share a studio at Big Medium’s Canopy, where Jess does a lot of his painting.
They come from very different places, but share common goals and ideals.
They also both enjoy working with a variety of creative materials and approaches.

Jamie Lea Wade primarily makes “other worldly” ceramic figurative sculptures, that reference people, animals, plants, earth and water all in different ratios.
Having a deep respect for all living things, she often works to make even the strange and interesting feel more warn and endearing.

Jess Wade is a story teller and character artist who enjoys exploring narrative expression.
With his clay work, Jess often features people deep in emotion, highlighting the follies and wonders of the human spirit through a range of expression.
His tile work does this in 2- dimensions.

With the passing of her mother, Jamie found out that her mom’s name represented a whole family of precious and semi-precious stones and crystals, that are said to vibrate on the same frequencies as those for love.
After making some pieces for her sisters with some of their ‘moms stones’, they kept asking for more. The pieces she had made seemed more than just cathartic-ly helpful, so she continued to make more.
She thoughtful uses high quality components for Jammers Jones Jewelry pieces, such as natural precious and semi-precious gemstone/crystal beads, and .925 % Sterling Silver hardware (including clasps and ear hooks) in her designs.
Finding that each type of stone has it's own list of unique properties, both visual and metaphysical, Jamie works to combine parts that live in harmony on both levels.
