Figmation Design started with the idea that everyone should be able to have beautiful and wondrous creations in their homes and at their events without breaking the budget.

This started the journey of looking at different materials and evaluating them for usage, variation, and durability. At the end of the day, the material choice was - you guessed it - paper!

High quality paper and vellum combine to make sturdy lanterns that can hold intricate designs, fold flat for easy storage, and endure for many years and/or uses to come. Paper also comes in many different colors, so that Figmation Design can make you a lantern in just the shade you desire.

Having settled on the medium, Megan set about designing the lanterns and letting her own imagination run wild. Using stock designs as well as hand drawing her own, Megan personally designs each side of every lantern. The main objective is ensuring the lanterns look lovely from every angle, are great as-is and spectacular when illuminated, and that panels can be mixed-and-matched to suit any need or whimsy (if you want a dragon and unicorn lantern we can do that, if you want a winter scene with a T-Rex, we can do that too!). Custom vellum options give your lanterns even more of a special touch to guarantee that added pop of allure.

Figmation Design has grown from making paper lanterns for family and friends, to bringing spectacular luminaries to people's homes and events around the globe. While Megan still enjoys designing new lanterns, she loves being able to create custom designs for your next occasion!
