Welcome to my shop! I'm Esther, I live in Dublin, and I love creating.

I've always been a hoarder of pretty things, attracted to colourful threads and ribbons, cozy yarns, bottled ink, richly textured paper and brightly patterned fabric. As my mother is a printmaker, I grew up aware of the art world, but I never saw myself as remotely artistic.

After starting out in academia (I studied anthropology at Cambridge), followed by a year teaching English in Japan and a spell as a freelance editor back in Dublin, I initially turned to crafting and photography as a hobby. However, I soon found these pursuits were taking up more and more of my time and attention, and I was amazed at how satisfying it was to work with my hands and just make beautiful things. Encouraged by my friends and family, I opened my Etsy shop in 2013 and have never looked back...

I love selling my work online and sending it out to brighten up desks and homes all around the world! I love the immediacy of making physical objects; I get a huge kick out of looking at a finished piece and knowing I've created something truly new, something that didn't exist yesterday. I also love the freedom of being my own boss, staying home to raise my daughter, keeping hours that suit me, and sewing on the couch while I watch my favourite TV shows!
