Shipping

Postage is from France

Small, flat, light items are still sent using the la poste "lettre prioritaire" letter service which has no tracking or insurance. These services can be added for an additional charge.

Small "paquets" are sent using the la poste Paquet Prio International service which has no tracking or insurance. There is a weight limit of 2kg on this service and certain large items cannot be shipped this way. Extra services such as tracking, signature on delivery or insurance are available at an extra charge, please add the upgrade option you want or contact me for a price.

All parcels with a value over $170 or weighing over 2kg will be sent via the Colissimo service This service requires a signature on delivery, includes insurance and is trackable. I will also require a contact phone number for the shipping company.

Please be aware that I ship from France and delivery times outside France and the EU can be longer. Please take this into account when placing your order. I'm afraid I cannot control delivery times and am not responsible for postal delays. If you need your item before a certain date please contact me prior to purchase for a price on expedited shipping.

I will happily ship worldwide and will combine shipping on multiple items. I endeavor to send all items within 3 days of receiving payment however I am not able to ship over weekends.

Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.

In cases of non delivery the item will be returned to me. I will refund the purchase price of the item upon receipt of the item. For customers in the EU the return postage is free. For customers outside the EU the return postage is chargeable and I will deduct this cost from the item cost and refund the balance.

SHIPPING COSTS FOR BOOKS: I ship some books with the low cost Postal service: "Livres et Brochures". They usually take 10 -21 days, however please be aware that some parcels can take over 28 days.Please be patient. If you require a quicker service with tracking, insurance etc please contact me. Please note this service is not available to French destinations.

I wrap the items very carefully however occasionally an item is damaged while in transit. When you receive your parcel, if you see that it is opened, damaged, broken, always open it in front of the postman and ask him to sign a statement if the content is damaged. With this paper , the French poste will reimburse the content at the declared value for all the parcels with insurance. Without that, the insurance will NOT be functional. I cannot be held responsible for breakages during shipping if insurance was not purchased.

Postal costs and delivery delays are beyond my control.

If you require an invoice you can print this direct from your purchase history in Etsy. Should you require an invoice sending with your order with my store details and registration number please contact me and I will gladly supply this with your order

All the items I sell are either vintage or antique so may have some flaws, dents, scratches etc. Any defects are described the best of my ability in the listing and where possible I include photos of defects. Please ask questions or request additional photos if needed before you commit to purchase as I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please do not buy if you are expecting an item in 'new' condition unless specified in the listing.

Do you offer Layaway?

I am open to a layaway plan for more expensive items with a combined value of over $100 (including shipping). This way you can split your payments over a period of time between 1 and 3 months. We will agree the payments at the beginning and then your first payment reserves your item.

Please note that after you begin your payments I am unable to refund you or cancel the transaction as the item is reserved for you and unavailable for sale to anyone else. The item will stay on reserve until you finish your final payment.

Expedited shipping

The quickest and most reliable shipping I offer is using the Colissimo service. Shipping times with Colissimo are 5 - 8 working days from dispatch to delivery. If you want to add this service to your order please purchase the Colissimo upgrade.

If you want a quotation for a quicker service please contact me before your purchase as these services are very expensive.

Please note that it is not always possible to combine shipping on large / heavy / fragile items as the economical La Poste service has an upper limit of 2kg.

Can I reserve an item?

Yes! I am happy to reserve items for up to a maximum of 1 month. If you would like to reserve an item I will ask you to pay 10% deposit.

How do I leave feedback?

Your opinion on my shop is important to me and I am always pleased to receive reviews. To leave a review:
1. Go to “Your Account” → “Purchases & Reviews.”
2. Select a star rating for your order from Histoires
3. Write a review for the item. Here, you can describe the quality of the item, as well as any other notable detail that comes to mind. The idea is to help other potential buyers, as well as give the seller valuable feedback.
4. Click “Post Your Review.” Your review will be viewable on the seller’s page as well as the item page!

Can I get a refund?

Sure! I operate a love it, or return it, no quibble, refund policy. I appreciate that sometimes items are not quite as expected or do not suit, so as a result I am happy to accept returns and provide refunds.

Buyers will be responsible for all transit costs. On items that shipped free the cost of the initial shipping will be deducted from the refund, please ask me for details. To qualify simply supply tracking details of the returned item and I will issue a refund for the item upon receipt. Please note the item must not be damaged or altered.

I cannot accept a return after 3 months from the delivery of the item.

Please note that patterns, layaway purchases and sale items are non returnable.
