Frequently asked questions

Are there any electrical considerations for international orders?

My lamps ship with E26 Edison screw sockets that are rated from 110 to 240 volts and as such are compatible with the voltage used everywhere. The difference in the E26 socket used here in the US (and a few other countries) and the E27 used in Europe and many other places is so minor that bulbs are interchangeable except for the required voltage. If I’m shipping to an E26 country, I include 110 volt LED bulbs. If to an E27 country I DO NOT INCLUDE BULBS. My shades are not intended for the high heat of incandescent bulbs but both LEDs and CLFs are fine.

The other electrical consideration is the plug. If you’re in an E27 country you will typically need a plug adapter or a replacement plug.

Can I use incandescent bulbs with your lamp shades?

No, they are not designed for the high heat of incandescent bulbs. Use only LEDs or CLFs.
