5 out of 5 starsI bought two chokers from MaitriStones and I love both of them. Unlike some of the chokers I've encountered in the past, these ones are adjustable. They can be as tight or as loose as you'd like. I'm excited to pair them up with some of my other gemstone necklaces! If you're looking for a simple, yet beautiful necklace to add to your collection, MaitriStones has you covered. You can tell that she loves what she does!

5 out of 5 starsShe was so sweet and worried about shipping late she added a extra item. I wasn’t expecting that at all. I love my necklace and would definitely order another.

Frequently asked questions
What is a mala?
'Mala' is a Sanskrit word meaning "meditation garland." A mala is a beaded necklace used in meditation. It is a tool to help you count mantras and acts as a tactile guide as you meditate. Traditionally, a mala is composed of 108 beads, a guru bead and tassel.

How do I use a mala?
Japa/Mantra Meditation – Choose a mantra, grab your mala and get comfortable. I like to sit on the floor with my eyes closed. Hold the beads between your thumb and pointer finger. Start at one of the beads next to the guru bead. Recite your mantra, move to the next bead and repeat for all 108 beads. When you reach the guru bead, pause and extend gratitude to the people who have shaped your life.
Breathing Meditation - Done the same as mantra meditation, but at each bead breathe in, hold and exhale.
Wear Your Mala - Set an intention for the day/week/month. Wear your mala as a beautiful reminded of your intention and the things you are working towards. Simply wearing a mala will also provide the healing powers of the crystals.
How do I wear a mala?
A mala is a wonderful way to wear your intention. Wear your mala as a necklace, single or double wrapped, or wrap it around your wrist.
How do I choose a mala?
Intuition is the best tool. Pick a mala that stands out to you. Pick one you will wear and use. Maybe you like a specific colour, or prefer one with lava beads for diffusing essential oils.
How do I use my mala to diffuse essential oils?
Malas, and other products, with a lava bead can be used to diffuse essential oils. Simply drop the oil right onto the lava bead(s).
