When I was a little girl, and my parents would have their friends over, I would quickly throw together a little shop in my room to sell things to them, mainly cute pieces of what I like to call "play jewelry". The "play jewelry" consisted of plastic and wooden beads, strung together with hemp cord and one of those twisty, silver clasps. They were a big hit; I even used to take custom orders. As I got older, I realized that maybe I could actually make something a bit nicer, and with glass beads instead of plastic. I started off by making some earrings, then got into bracelets, rings, and necklaces.

My jewelry is all inspired by two main things: nature, and music. I live in the forested areas of Pennsylvania, where I am blessed to be surrounded by the beauty of the changing seasons, the playfulness of the wild deer and foxes, and the wonderful sounds of hundreds of different birds. As for music, my muse for both jewelry and for writing is classical music, especially movie soundtracks. I can picture amazing things in my head when my ears are filled with classical music, and it helps me to creative amazing things.

The Recycled Collection that I have for sale here on Etsy was an idea sparked when an administrator at my high school handed me a bag of old jewelry from a friend who had cleaned out her jewelry box, and said that she thought I might be able to get some use out of them. I kept a few pieces the way they were, for myself or gifts for others, and the rest I took apart and used those pieces to make the pieces for the Recycled Collection. In fact, I am asking for your support in helping me creative these pieces.
