I began stained glass about 2003 on a whim. And I liked it. As far as being a bird nerd, that started in 1993 while visiting San Franscisco with my mom (we liked watching the birds more than watching the city).

And then came 2015. I started MYBirdClub, a birdwatching club for 4th & 5th graders at my daughters' school. It was popular enough that I run clubs on 2 different days in the fall, winter and spring. And have expanded into a middle school. I really love connecting kids to birds and to nature.

A portion of every sale of my stained glass scrappy birds (medium and large) goes to support young birders. I've handed out or purchased
• 3 scholarships
• 100+ field guides - one for each young birder in MYBirdClub
• 10 field bags so kids can carry a notebook, field guide and pencil when birding.
