My once daughter in-law started the shop. This is her story.
After years of spinal cord surgeries and tons of nerve pains, I finally made choices in my life to make myself happier, healtheir, and hippier. I had hopes of curing some of the many ailments I was experiencing and ended up curing those that I thought couldn't be cured (narcolepsy!) After a year of blogging about how I rid my life of chemicals and other toxins by making all of my own cleaning supplies, beauty supplies, and more, I was finally talked into opening a shop to sell all of the things that I make on my blog (and more!). I began selling my lip balms and body butters and from there my shop is slowly expanding. Eventually, I have hopes that it will grow into something bigger!
Christina's blends became so popular that she needed help to continue on in her adventure of blogging and blending for the shop. Her passion truly is blogging and she asked me if I was interested in running the shop so she could be free to write.
Christina and I ran the shop together for a little over one year. I did all the shop work while she was my mentor, being available for any questions, cares, or customer concerns as I started to learn about the world of essential oil and herbs. Christina was very pleased to see how the shop was managed and impressed with the positive client satisfaction and growth during this change-over that she decided to give me the shop and totally step away from the business which would enable her to move to devote all her time to the already thriving blog, The Hippy Homemaker.
It has been a pleasure blending for all The Hippy Homemaker clients. I hope to continue to bring quality, natural and organic blends to all those seeking such items.
You will see some changes as I am considering changing some of the labels at one point. I have decreased my blends at this time to include the shops most sought after items only. Supplies and shipping has gone up on my end so it has been necessary to adjust the pricing according. My life has changed quite a bit since starting on with the shop, and I have had to supplement my income by returning to a full-time position outside of the home.
One thing that will not change is the quality and loving care that goes into your blends! Again, it is such a pleasure to be available to each who stop on by and find that perfect blend they have been looking for. Shalom to you and yours,
