"trovo".......
An Italian wording meaning “I find”.

What exactly do I find, you ask?
Treasures. Bits and pieces of a time gone by.
My items have been pulled from dark basements and cob web filled nooks, in far corners of garages that time forgot. Some are simply cleaned up and ready to tell a new story. Some are re-imagined and given a whole new life. All of them add a unique element, helping to make your house a home.
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed scouring estate sales with my Dad. Sometimes my whole family joins us. Sometimes it’s just he and I. How I love “old” things…..running my hand over the lettering on a teal blue jar, staring into the eyes of a worn black and white portrait, smelling that unmistakable old smell when you open an antique novel……always wondering what these things would say if they could only speak! I love using these items to decorate my own home and have long wanted to share that love with others.
As for the name “trovo”, it speaks of who I am. I am the proud daughter of an Italian immigrant who happened to marry a beautiful lady of Polish ancestry. I adore all things Italian. I love to talk about my Nonna and all that she taught me. I love to travel and garden, to read and cook. I love big, boisterous family celebrations. Above all, I am the blessed wife of a caring and generous man who has encouraged me to open this shop a million times over. And I am lucky enough to be called Mama to my 3 (not so little) “Viggies”.
I don’t have anything listed here that I wouldn’t be proud and excited to display and use in my own home. So, Welcome! Benvenuto! I invite you to grab a cup of coffee, and come take a look!

A word about “C”……

My dad is a retired art teacher and is active with the local high school basketball team. He is known around town affectionately as Mr. C or sometimes even just “C”. He is always creating. He enjoys making frames for his basketball players when they are featured in the local newspaper. He spent years making beautiful hand carved decoy ducks, and he’s always repairing something for one of us. Check out some of his creations, born of our estate sale finds and his desire to re-purpose items to give them a new life. We hope you like what you see!
